In a unique, adrenaline-fueled adventure, Matt Jones teamed up with Shimano to take on a bucket-list challenge: riding full speed down the abandoned bobsled track in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

Years ago, Matt saw a video of the eerie, overgrown structure and it caught his attention. This year, a dream of his became reality, as he tackled the steep, winding course on his enduro bike—hitting speeds of nearly 70 km/h. Navigating the narrow track lined with trees and concrete posts, this descent was not for the faint-hearted.

“I remember seeing the abandoned bobsled track on a video years ago and thinking, ‘I have to ride down that on my bike,’” says Matt. “When the opportunity arose, I teamed up with Shimano to head out to Sarajevo and hit the track on my enduro bike, flat out no brakes, making it to almost 70km/h which feels insane with all the trees and concrete posts flying inches from my head! This was such a fun project, thanks Shimano and Red Bull Bosnia for their support making it happen!”

Thanks to the support of Shimano and Red Bull Bosnia for this Urbex meets MTB thrilling project.
