David Cachon rides the Yesa Reservoir Ghost Trails
Two-time MTB world champ David Cachón set off on a solo ride around Spain’s Yesa Reservoir, where the villages of Ruesta, Tiermas, and Esco still stand. The buildings are half-collapsed and feel haunted long after their residents were forced to leave in the mid-20th century.

Riding through Ruesta felt like rolling through a movie set – ancient stone houses, a castle on a hill, empty windows watching you pass. In Tiermas, the lake hides Roman hot springs beneath the surface, only revealing them when the water drops low enough.
With his unique mix of storytelling, technical riding, and visual impact, David brings this forgotten corner of Spain back to life.
